My Students

My students are made up of twelve students with varying disabilities, personalities, ethnicities and socio-economic statues but share the same love for learning! My classroom is made up of twelve students with various learning and physical disabilities. Each student has their own specific learning style that needs to be met in order for them to learn successfully.

Working in a Title I schools means you have students that face many different challenges both in the school and at home.

In my classroom we gather every day to learn and share our different experiences. It is my goal that each student comes to school each day ready to take on whatever comes their way and excited to learn!

My Project

As teachers we differentiate instruction and assignments, why not differentiate students seating choice. Students spend so many hours working at their desk each day and flexible seating will allow my students to work in a space that best fits their learning needs.

Flexible seating gives students an opportunity to work in a comfortable space that helps foster their learning.

Having these seating choices throughout the classroom will allow students to leave the standard desk and choose a spot where they can work and become creative thinkers.

Having flexible seating options such as the Flex Space Wobble Chair or the Flex Space Balance Ball will allow my students to work in an environment that allows for stimulation but also success. The Flex Space Student Lap Desk and the Comfy Floor Seat provide opportunities for students to work comfortably on the floor. Everyone, included adults and children, learn in different ways and flexible seating may just be the missing part to a child's success!

My students require much support and refocusing. My hope is that my students will be able to work in a space that is most comfortable for them and result in the best learning possible!
