This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a low-income​ area in the Bronx. I have 8 energetic amazing students. They all have very different academic and social needs but they all try very hard to learn! Therefore, I need various materials that will help them reach their uppermost potential while keeping them engaged and focused! My classroom is also very small and most of my students are very active and love to sit in different areas of the room. However, at this moment we need more options for my students to be able to work in and be comfortable!

My Project

Learning can be so fun when you are engaged and motivated to learn! With these materials, you will help me provide my students with the necessary materials needed to enhance their learning. We have a very small classroom and a beanbag chair and ball chair and will make them feel more comfortable and provide them with different options of seating in order to get them comfortable and ready to work. My students are also very active and are kinesthetic and visual learners. Therefore, my lessons will be more engaging if my students have resources they can see and manipulate such as sorting houses, Playfoam alphabet sets, and gel-bead sensory sets. They will be so excited to see and use new supplies and will be even more excited to be active participants in their learning!
