Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a public 3rd grade classroom located Southeast of TX. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with the incredible students from this community, who always try to go above and beyond any expectation to get their education.

My students face many hardships in and outside of school, but they don't let any of that stop them from coming into the classroom each day with a smile on their face and a positive attitude.

These students deserve every opportunity in the world, and I hope that I can help them get closer to achieving their dreams!

My Project

Adults don't like when they have to sit in the same seat, doing the same thing for hours and hours every day. In the workplace we make accommodations for people to modify their environment so they are more comfortable, so why shouldn't we allow our students to do the same thing?

I want to provide my students the opportunity to work the way they are most comfortable, which will boost engagement and achievement in the classroom.

Giving my students the choice between a floor seat, wiggle cushion, floor desk or bean bag to work in will allow them to take more ownership of their learning and do their very best.

I hope that you take my classroom into consideration and help me allow my students the ability to enhance their learning.
