My Students

The students I teach are active 8 year olds in 3rd grade. Each student has a unique way of learning. Some students are diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, SPD, and LD. In order to meet each student's needs, I have implemented flexible seating into the classroom. All of my students enjoy the flexible seating options. The students are responsible for understanding how they learn and which seats support their learning. Students and parents are both fond of the unusual seating options available in my classroom.

My Project

I have successfully implemented flexible seating into my 3rd grade classroom. The flexible seats promote movement to help facilitate attention and focus for all students.

This latest project will allow the students to have access to floor stadium seats.

These seats provide a cushy seat with a backrest for students that enjoy working on ground level.

The benefits of flexible seating are sustained attention for students with and without disabilities. The seats can easily be rearranged to support student collaboration for group projects such as literacy circles and center work.

Previously, donors have helped fund two other flexible seating projects for my students. My students and I are grateful for your donations!
