Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a college preparatory educational program emphasizing science, technology, engineering, art/athletics and math (STEAM) in a safe environment that cultivates respect for self and others. The students in our school strive to be leaders and innovators.
Our students are scientific thinkers who contribute to the global community as socially responsible and educated members of society.
They come from a variety of backgrounds, but share a common goal of making a difference in our world. They are talented, passionate, creative, smart, and most of all, leaders.
My Project
Why flexible seating? We know that all students learn in different ways. Flexible seating allows us to continue to tap into student potential by allowing them them choice in where their work is completed in the classroom.
Providing students choice in their learning will benefit them not on in making decision in school but also in life.
Our goal is to use the end table as partner work tables. Students can use the yoga cushion or floor cushions to provide comfort during their discussions. The storage benches will help to section off a portion of the classroom where individuals or groups can dig deep into problems of the week while adding some additional storage to the classroom.
