My Project
I instruct students in grades 6, 7, and 8 in reading intervention. A significant number of my students find it challenging to remain seated during class. They frequently prefer to stand or engage in movement.
This initiative aims to create an environment where students, particularly those with ADHD, can enhance their focus by selecting seating that accommodates their learning styles.
Research indicates that flexible seating empowers students to learn in positions that best suit them. By providing alternative seating options, we can boost focus, allowing students to lean, lounge, rock, wobble, or stand, thereby enabling them to move more freely. Securing funding for this project will facilitate our progress toward this goal.
