My Project

Our students live by the DRIVE (Determination, Respect, Integrity, Voice, and Engagement) Values. Precocious second graders and eager explorers want to know more about the world around them. They are at the age where they are exploring their interests and talents and developing their uniqueness!

We are asking for flexible seating, a classroom mailbox, and heavy-duty plastic book baggies for our Integrated Co-Teaching classroom.

In our classroom, we have so many different learning styles. We want to organize the classroom so that it is easy for students to navigate and keep up with their materials. The ottoman, plastic totes for books, and classroom mailbox will provide flexibility in an organized way. Some students like to sit at their desks and others like to stand while working. We want to provide different seating choices around our classroom so students can learn in a seat that is most comfortable for them, making sure none of their classwork is lost in the shuffle.

We want all of our students to feel successful in their learning, and a desk shouldn't be the only option for learning. With these different options for flex seating, we are teaching our students about choice and giving them the independence to choose what works best for them to be successful in school. Embracing and learning more about their unique learning styles and needs will help them better navigate the classroom and take ownership of their education.
