Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 4th-grade students are eager learners. They have a wide range of social-emotional and academic abilities. Many of my students find it difficult to focus when they have to sit for lessons. I've incorporated movement breaks into my daily schedule to accommodate my students' needs. However, there are still times when students need to sit at their desks.

Most of my students are from low-income families and because of this, they lack basic school supplies and a home environment that is conducive to the practice necessary to maintain and/or increase academic skills.

My Project

I will use the Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats and Flex-Space Balance Ball Seats for students who are unable to sit in traditional chairs while they are learning. The Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats and Flex-Space Balance Ball Seats will have a positive impact on my students' ability to focus on their learning.

Increased focus will enable students to reach their full academic potential.

I plan to use the zip ties and Velcro in an effort to better organize our Chromebook charging station. Having a well-organized space for our Chromebooks will increase the amount of time students will be able to use their devices for learning.
