My Students

My students love to come to school, where for some of them it's the only place they feel safe and loved. I love teaching them and they are not without their challenges. So many of them have lived a life I could never imagine. Their eagerness and enthusiasm to learn make me strive to find a variety of programs and materials to enhance the curriculum so they can enjoy learning so much more. My students come with a variety of skill levels since some this is their first experience with school and they lack the basic foundation to move forward with their education.

My Project

Why flexible seating, you ask? Flexible classrooms give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and help them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking.

All children don't learn the same way, so why should they all have to sit the same way?

If variety is the spice of life, then flexibility is the key to education. I would love to bring my classroom to the 21st century by providing my students with alternative seating arrangements. I feel my students would truly benefit from having a variety of places to conduct their learning and I would like the opportunity to provide them with a variety of choices.

My job is to provide my students with a learning environment that meets their needs. My students will be truly appreciative if they came in one day to find the classroom was starting to fit their needs more. The world's view on education is changing; shouldn't that mean our view on what a classroom should look like should also change? That’s why I am asking for the Flex-Space Collaborative Floor Work Space.
