This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a 4th grade teacher, I have a desire to see my students grow in knowledge and succeed in anything they set their minds on. My students have a mindset of endless opportunities. As their teacher I do my best to provide students with a growth mindset and an unwavering belief that they can succeed at whatever they choose.

My students come into my classroom knowing what they want to be when they grow up and the exact year they will walk across a stage holding their high school diploma.

Even if their adult aspirations change we encourage them to always think outside of the box, while also knowing that with education they will have endless opportunities. I want them to see that through education in our classroom they can see those endless opportunities take shape.

My Project

Using stations in my math class works wonders for student engagement and success. My kids love moving around the room to new locations to learn using different math activities. However, having limited flexible seating options for station groups and small group activities is something I'd like to change! I would love my students to be able to have a mini desk when they are on the carpet or in stations; especially for my friends who would really benefit from more flexible seating options! These little seats would be a game-changer for stations and giving my students another flexible seating option in my classroom.
