My Students

"A grape bunch!" What a fitting description for my students! Having taught them this last year in the fourth grade, I am delighted to have them back again for their final year in elementary school. My students are defined by the effort they give each and every day.

This past year they have shown their willingness and determination to overcome challenges borne of their disabilities, to achieve wonderful academic success.

I could not be prouder of their results.

One of the things that is most admirable about my students is their generosity, their willingness to share and help one another. I have seen them carrying one another's bags, sharing their lunches encouraging one another when the work gets more intense and engaging in great peer activities. Their passion for learning positively impacts mine for teaching. Nothing makes me happier than to see my "grape bunch" enthusiastic about learning.

My Project

My students do so much research because of our project based curriculum. But alas, they have no devices to store their individual research efforts. They are in desperate need of personal flash drives to save their documents immediately and have them always at hand. Additionally, they need individual headphones to enable them to work quietly and efficiently, especially if they have to critique a video of an event or have to engage in a computer generated learning activity.

How pleasurable it will be to know that my students will not have all their work saved on one working computer ( which can at times get deleted accidentally) or not have to use the headphone of another (which is unsanitary).

In this technological era, my students need to have exposure to and be comfortable using all sorts of equipment to help them better navigate the demands of this changing world. Please help us get these worthwhile tools.
