Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What I love about my students is their drive and willingness to learn. They are mainly immigrant Spanish speaking students with lots of them living in homeless shelters. My students love to read and particularly love writing these elaborate stories. My students are big on creating a bully-free zone. They truly help each other.

I particularly love watching those who are on grade level help or guide those who are approaching.

They love giving each other "put-ups" because they want everyone to feel like our classroom is like their second home.

My Project

The flair pens are essential for my students because it makes writing workshop run a lot smoother and easier. We do not have much time to waste sharpening pencils and erasing. We deal with writers workshop as one of the most important parts of our day. The pens also make sharing students work on the document camera as well as Seesaw better to view and for others to give feedback. Also, with the flair pens, students will be able to get right down to the business of writing, editing and revising without wasting a single minute looking for a sharpened pencil.
