Childhood Obesity is everyone's problem. I'm the middle school Physical Education teacher, in a high-need community.

The water system in our school has been turned off due to high amounts of lead in the drinking water. Children are drinking soft drinks instead of water after any type of physical activity.

The children need a water cooler. The children will be encouraged to hydrate themselves with water in the gym, instead drinking soft drinks at lunch. The water cooler is a necessity for all the children especially those who are easily dehydrated because of their weight.

Your help will ensure that my students understand the importance of satisfying a basic need,drinking water. You will make a difference in the childhood obesity battle. Water coolers are needed because children will not play or become fit will they are dehydrated.
