Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 8th-grade students work hard all year, especially with four important state exams on their schedule. I am looking to improve our physical education class with new equipment. But learning goes beyond textbooks. For many of our students from low-income households, school is the only place where they can safely move, play, and connect with others. This year, we are excited to introduce physical education to the curriculum to support their physical and mental health.

We are seeking funding to provide basic sports equipment basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, and more, so every student can fully participate.

Your support will help level the playing field and give our students the balance they need to succeed, both in school and in life.
