My Project

The movement books and math movement books will help students make connections between physical activity, literacy, and math. These books introduce concepts in a way that is engaging and interactive, making learning more dynamic. By combining movement with reading and math, students are more likely to retain information, as they can experience these subjects through physical action. The balls and large dice will be used to create movement-based games that reinforce math concepts like counting, number recognition, and basic arithmetic, as well as help develop gross motor skills. These tools will transform the physical education space into a multi-disciplinary environment where students can strengthen both their minds and bodies.

The primary goal of this project is to create a learning environment where literacy and math are seamlessly integrated into physical education.

I want to encourage students to move with purpose, engage their critical thinking skills, and make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the physical activities they do in PE. By blending these subjects, I aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of both literacy and math, while also promoting healthy physical activity. Additionally, I hope to improve their coordination, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
