Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year speech-language pathologist, I am filled with enthusiasm to help my students succeed! After years of studying, it is incredibly exciting to finally be in the field and apply what I have learned.

Currently, I am working at a Title I school in Washington Heights, NY, and I couldn't ask for a better environment to grow and make an impact.

As we approach the second half of the year, I find myself in need of both basic office supplies and new speech-language materials including a word match kit, storage bins, dental bite blocks and other interactive toys. I would be immensely grateful for any support you could provide.

One area where I particularly need assistance is in literacy. I have included a recommended textbook that would greatly enhance my knowledge in this area. This resource will not only benefit my students this year but will also have a lasting impact on their literacy skills in the years to come.
