Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of my class qualifies for free lunch. My students are diverse learners that all need something different from school. Students in my class are given access to flexible seating, a classroom library, and a Makerspace every day in order to better their learning.

Our classroom is full of diverse, excited learners who need a wide range of resources to learn.

My goal is to create a caring classroom community where my students feel valued and feel a sense of belonging. My students teach me just as much as I teach them.

My Project

"World Without Fish" is a wonderful novel that describes what our world would be like without fish. I would like to read this book in conjunction with our science lessons. We will focus on how the world is changing and how humans affect the Earth.

Our students need to understand that their actions have consequences that affect not only the people around them, but also the Earth.

This book focuses on what we have done in the past as well as what needs to be done in the future to help take care of our planet. It presents the information in an engaging book that my students would love to read and write about.
