Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher of a low income/high poverty area, my students are faced with many challenges in five and outside of the classroom. Despite their their many needs I am looking to keep things fun and simple for them in their learning environment. Many of my students are not exposed to books until they get into school. Some other very first book let them hear or read from our school library or our individual classroom library. I am looking to provide them with positive fun experiences with books and also classroom station.

My goal is to create a love of learning and I love of literature.

Most of our students come from single-parent household or household with many siblings. Many of our students 89% are all free lunch. Do you think prevent many of them from getting ahead early and they’re learning. My goal is to help bridge the gap and give them those experiences.

My Project

The children I teach come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. They are in need of new, exciting, hands-on activities that interest them and keep their focus. Many of the children I’ll teach have very low attention spans. Some of the stations we have in our rooms are very dated. Our school has not been able to purchase new supplies for station in many years. The children get excited about working together With these type of stations. They learn and grow from working together. Please consider funding my project I know many children that will greatly benefit and will really appreciate it.
