This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching! As a teacher, I want to make an impact; in the school, the community and the children. Which is why I have accepted an offer at a school with high academic gaps, where over 90% of our students are economically disadvantaged. I believe a place like this is not just where I can make the biggest impact but where the children need the most love and support! I want to be able to provide my students with the basic supplies needed and help my students' parents focus on how we both can help our students grow academically and as person without them having to worry about affording the needed supplies.
