This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As a first year teacher in an underserved community, I want items in my room that bring my children joy! From Play-doh to building blocks to books that reflect my students' identities, all of these items were thoughtfully chosen to make my room a happier place that facilitates learning. For example, I hope to use the emotions coin drop to help students learn to regulate their emotions. I hope to use the flower throw pillows so students have more options to select their own seating.
Beyond regular supplies, I have to spend my own money on my classroom, so I am so grateful for any donation!
