Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and curious! They love hands-on, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find answers to their questions about the world!

Many students in our class are experiencing their first full year in a school as second graders, and will highly benefit from a safe, comfortable, engaging environment to adjust to this new situation.

Our school is nestled in the Bronx, a borough hit particularly hard by COVID-19, and where many families lacked access to adequate learning technology over the quarantine.

In our class, we will incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

My Project

After over a year of remote learning, my second grade students are eager to get back into the classroom! Our class will be an inclusive, loving environment where all students can access the tools they need to develop as compassionate leaders and engaged learners! However, as a first year teacher, I'm starting from scratch and need your help to make this vision come to life.

Your donation to this project will help provide each student with the materials they need to succeed as a unique learner.

Wobble cushions will allow students to get their wiggles out as they focus on activities. Bean bags will be a cozy spot to curl up and dig into a good book. Math games will make practicing their skills fun and foster a love for math. Thank you for contributing to our class!
