Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year as a speech and language pathologist at a Title 1, public school in NYC! In the public school, there are a variety of needs to be addressed, and I would be so appreciative of any support to help fund materials as I start my first year!

Pretend play activities (ice cream/pizza toys) allow students to simultaneously work on social skills while also focusing on language output, whether that be grammar, length of sentence, turn-taking, asking questions, etc.

CVC foam pictures allow students to grow in their early literacy skills and allow for an interactive learning experience!

Specific speech and language activities (Super Duper Cards) are research-based materials to help direct students in their goals such as inferencing and comparing/contrasting!

Laminating paper allows me to make adapted books for my children who need hands-on manipulation to help them learn!
