This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! It has always been my passion to be an elementary school teacher!
My students are motivated, charismatic, and creative.
Our school follows a PBL learning style which allows students to dive deep into social justice and community service. Our students learn about their communities and raise awareness to social issues, such as racism and poverty, by creating handmade brochures, printing books along with other product ideas. These learning goals can be supported using tools like the Cricut Maker which will help students assemble these products, the Fiskars Paper Trimmer, and Post-it Correction Tape for any mistakes they may make. The Avery Laminating Sheets are used to preserve and protect all the work our students complete.
Our bilingual students also have language needs. During our math lessons, we use Avery Labels to print our daily application problem in both English and Spanish and sticking them into our students notebooks. This allows them to have easy access to the problem in which ever language they need.
The Glad Bags are used to organize manipulatives during math along with sorting vocabulary flash cards that target students language needs and expand their vocabulary. We also use them for means of storage when necessary for our students.
After the COVID-19 pandemic Clorox Disinfecting Wipes and Lysol spray help us maintain our room sterilized and safe for everyone. Additionally, the Band-Aid Variety Pack will allow me to always be prepared if my students are ever in need of any bandaids.
Many of my students come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and low-income households therefore every donation made will have a great impact. Thank you!
