My Project

This year I will be teaching a group of diverse and brilliant autistic learners in a space that I hope to cultivate joy, positive change, and a sense of safety in. This is my first year as a contracted teacher in the city of Philadelphia, which has been my dream all throughout college. My hope is to prepare enough to ensure they have full access to their learning experience, and are able to take full responsibility and pride in their success. These materials will empower them not just in their learning, but in their sense of independence/control of their educational experience. As the 3-6 AS teacher, my classroom is their last stop before graduating on to high school, and I want to ensure I have prepared them well for such a big step in their futures.
