Help me give my students the resources they need to be successful this year in first grade! We really need seat sacks since we have tables with no storage! The tablets will be great for reading centers!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach 1st grade in a low income district in New York City. My students need materials and storage to be successful and organized.
Students in 1st grade come to school energetic and ready to learn!
They are eager to discover new things and try them out for themselves. By creating a welcoming environment, I can make sure that my students are set up for the best year possible from the very beginning. These students truly deserve all that they need to be successful.
My Project
The materials I am requesting are mostly to help us stay organized in first grade. The students have tables with no storage so the seat sacks will be so useful! We also have lots of hands-on materials and need bins to store them.
Technology is so important in today's world.
The Amazon tablets are a great resource for both reading and math centers. The students can listen to audio books and use apps that help them develop their math skills. We also need headphones to use with them!
We also need basic classroom supplies such as dry erase markers, books, and pocket charts.
