My kids love to do anything hands-on. We have done some baking, and they absolutely love that! Unfortunately, our school oven has bitten the dust. We have a beautifully multicultural population. I want to implement a "foods around the world" program. We would study different countries and backgrounds, and cook foods to represent these. This would teach the kids about other cultures while also instilling pride in their own cultures. We would greatly benefit from a blender, a portable oven, an electric skillet or electric wok, and an electric hand mixer. Any other cooking supplies, like measuring cups and spoons, bowls, and spoons would also be greatly appreciated. We all know the value of authentic experiences, and many of the kids do not get to experience the joys of cooking at home. Cooking in the classroom is fun, educational, and delicious!
