Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are young, eager and love to learn. They are creative and artistic. They also love technology. My students love to draw, write and create! But boy do they go through a ton of paper and ink.

They live in a high poverty area.

Many of them are from African American or Hispanic households. My school is in a neighborhood surrounded by shelters, and many of my students live in those shelters. Some of them have it rough at home and school is their safe place. Despite their trials and tribulations, they all love coming to school and learning!

My Project

My students are like sponges and they soak up all the knowledge they can. They are very eager to learn and love to create. They especially love to write stories. They love to type their stories on the computer and create graphics as well. My students need copy paper and ink so that they can make their stories come to life and create books to share with others. If my students can get these simple resources, I know they would be so excited because they will be able to share their work with their family and friends. I know they will be so happy to see their ideas come to life on paper! Please help us get the materials we need so that my students can continue to create great things!

They will be able to print up the stories they write and I will also be able to provide them with activities to reinforce their learning as well as communicate with parents through letters and notices. Please donate to my project.
