This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In first grade, we are excited to meet our incoming first grade students! After a full year in kindergarten, many first grade students come in ready to begin learning right away!

With that in mind, we are excitedly preparing our rooms and we are seeking all the essential materials to keep our classrooms running at the beginning of the year!

We are requesting basic materials such as dry erase markers, whiteboards, glue, and pens in order to provide our students with ample supplies to complete classroom assignments. We are also requesting materials such as hand sanitizer to keep our students healthy, and we also need book boxes to keep classroom materials organized. All of these materials are essential to keep our classroom running! We are looking forward to incorporating it all into our rooms in the fall.

With the way our first grade team operates, we "share" students among the three of our classrooms throughout the day. So although I expect to have 25 students in my homeroom class, these materials will serve about 75 students throughout the next school year!
