This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In first grade, we use an abundance of school supplies (crayons, scissors, colored paper, pens, Kleenex tissues), which can get very expensive for all of us. We go through crayons, pencils, and glue sticks daily! Being that the children are young and inexperienced with maintaining and caring for supplies independently, we also experience loss of supplies through accidentally throwing supplies away when we clean up.
Many of my students are unable to bring in their own school supplies.
Helping support them with construction paper, glue sticks, scissors and other supplies for learning will greatly help them succeed this year. These school supplies will help ease the burden on my students’ families after such a challenging school year by helping to provide school supplies for classroom.
The supplies in this project will provide my students with the materials that are necessary for day-to-day learning and work in our classroom. By providing students with the necessary supplies they need to be successful, students can start the school year out strong without worrying about how they will get their school supplies.
