My Students

My first graders are always eager and motivated to learn! They take on challenges with delight and excitement! Last year, all of my students' learning experiences were virtual! Due to their inexperience with technology, that was an extremely challenging year for students and parents alike! We aim to change that experience this year!

My students love a challenge and are determined to become "Tech Experts" by the end of first grade.

Students will be using Chromebooks daily in school and at home. I know that my students are ready to dive into new learning this year with in person learning and technology! They will further their mastery of many skills through their daily use of technology.

I teach in a self-contained classroom in New Jersey. Our inner-city school district has a majority of students from low economic backgrounds. Most students qualify for free breakfast/lunch. They have limited materials/resources at home or school to fully develop key areas of learning. Our students will be using school-issued Chromebooks daily as a tool to reach their full potential across the curriculum in first grade. They are eager to take on the challenge!

My Project

My students need to stay connected using their Chromebooks. Each student in first grade is supplied with a Chromebook. My students need a way to transport and protect their equipment safely. Having a protective laptop briefcase will enable safe travel of the Chromebook to and from school. One of the largest areas of growth this year will be learning to use technology independently across the curriculum.. This year, students are expected to use Chromebooks supplied by the school in class and at home for research, skills practice and projects. Being able to transport computers will allow students to complete differentiated assignments using technology.
