Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Calm-Down Corner will give students a proactive way to handle stress and anxiety, improving their ability to return to classroom activities with a clearer mind. By providing these resources, we are fostering a supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and learning readiness.

We will purchase a high-quality, comfortable chair designed for young children as well as a weighted shoulder wrap.

This chair will offer a cozy place for students to sit and unwind. These wrap will be chosen for their calming benefits and will be available for students to use when needed. A soft, plush pillow will add an extra layer of comfort to the Calm-Down Corner, making it a more inviting and restful space. A tactile and soothing maze will be included to offer students a calming, engaging activity that helps them focus and relax.

Your generous donation will help create a nurturing space where our students can manage their emotions and thrive academically. We are grateful for your support in making our classroom a better place for every child.
