My Students

My students greet me on our first day with a smile, excited for their new adventure. They are creative artists, thinkers, explorers, and they are getting ready to become scientists, mathematicians, authors, illustrators, and civil rights activists. They come from diverse backgrounds and speak various home languages.

My Project

With the materials I've requested, my students will be able to learn each others' names, practice writing in their writing journals, and participate in shared writing activities as well as interactive writing lessons. Students will use their dry erase markers to practice their spelling and sentence writing on their own whiteboard as well as the classroom whiteboard.

These daily essentials help turn my students into writers during their first year of school.

Having varying writing tools will keep my students excited and engaged throughout the day and school year.
