Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is full of gifted and talented kindergartners that are very eager to learn each morning that they walk into our classroom. They come from all different kinds of backgrounds and countries. A lot of them are new to the United States and they are always excited to experience new things.

Their excitement and curiosity inspire me to make the best educational experience for them each day.

We've created an encouraging little family in our room and work together to learn, grow and lead.

My Project

My students could benefit from additional technology in our classroom to enrich their learning. These tablets can give them that opportunity to take the learning we do in whole group and use them for individual practice in the classroom.

This generation of students are always so eager to use technology and I believe these tablets will be a great tool to boost their excitement for reading .

They are surrounded by technology in real world settings and I would love to be able to bring that into our classroom. These tablets will also give us more access to resources and books that we do not have.

Though these tablets will give us access to countless of apps for every subject, they will mostly be used to enhance students individual reading skills. They will give students access to thousands of e-books that will expand our classroom Library. These e-book can be specific to their reading level and interest, making them more effective. Students will also be able to use apps on these tablets that turn reading and word work into interactive games. I'm looking forward to being able to use them to setup a station for each student to use in their group during reading stations. They will also be a great tool to prepare individual interventions for my students that need a little extra practice during any free time in class.

Overall I'm hoping these tablets will help inspire and excite these young readers to practice their reading!
