My Students

As an Intensive Reading teacher at a Title I school, I work with the lowest 25% of the population. Students enrolled in this course are reading two or more years below grade level. My students are in need of resources that will help bridge the gap and become motivated readers.

My Project

The students in my class use a research based software that is mandated by the district. These students use a software named READ180 and System 44 that must be completed daily using a computer. I am in need of two tablets (iPads) so that each student can have adequate time on the software. This will assist in helping them academically.

Students have the ability to reach the stars with the use of technology.

The research based intervention has helped students that are reading four or more years below grade level become proficient readers. The goal is for these students to become lifelong learners!
