Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is designed to allow students to explore through play! I live by the quote, "If a child can't learn the way you teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn." Ignacio Estrada.

I am constantly trying to find new ways to improve my teaching while fueling success for all of my students!

My classroom is filled with eighteen, energetic, 4 and 5-year-old students. They are all motivated by success and have a huge passion to learn. On any given day I can ask them if they are ready for a busy day; they will always respond with an unanimous yes! My students are willing to not only learn, but teach their peers when they can. Our school is located in the Bronx. Our first second program hopes to provide the best education possible with the supplies available to us.

My Project

These materials will allow students the ability to gain critical content skills while building critical fine motor skills that will foster the growth of their writing muscles. The House Building Engineering Center and Build Water will be used in the discovery center to create an opportunity for critical thinking and problem solving skills. The Ten-Frames Class Set allows students to build number sense. Magic Board Printing Practice Cards and Find the Letter Activity will allow practice of prewriting skills.

We need the help of people like you to help us get the necessary supplies to build our fine motor skills.
