it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher in a District 75 school and my amazing students are ages 5-6 years old. My class is an 8:1:1 class. All my students are diagnosed with Autism. I would love to create fun work centers for our classroom.
My students would love some interactive play centers, where they can engage in exploratory play and engage in pretend play.
We would love to also have some writing centers where my students can they practice tracing shapes, their letters, and their names. Another center I would love to create in my classroom will be a science center where my students can explore and experiment with sensory materials such as colors, light, and sand.
My Project
These fine motor activities will help my students perform strengthen the muscles in their fingers and wrist as well as improve their eye hand coordination. Fine motor activities will help them perform important task such as feeding themselves, dressing, grasping objects, and writing. Fine motor skills are necessary for many aspects of self-care such as putting on shoes, dressing, brushing their teeth. As children improve their fine motor skills they develop their independence. Fine motor skills are essential to living and learning. Development of fine motor skills will have a longterm impact on my student's lives.
