Do you remember your first day of school? Do you remember who taught you to hold your pencil to write your name? My students are FINE-ally ready for school but their fine motor skills are trying to catch up to them! Preparing them now for their future in writing starts with their fine motor skills.
Our school is one of the first in our area that includes students of all abilities in a classroom with their peers.
Students who develop typically, students with special needs and students who are gifted, learn side-by-side, with each other and from each other. All of our students are resilient individuals that, despite their differences, make our school a welcoming community.
My Project
With the standards and expectations changing for my little ones, their ability to write starts with a great foundation of fine motor skills. Implementing daily fine motor development practice through games and fun activities, the students will be better prepared to write their names, words, sentences, books, notes, anything, and everything! The students will be able to work together, play, and develop their fine motor skills through play and focused activities.
Students grow and learn so quickly, especially during their kindergarten year.
These fine motor activities and games will better prepare them for all areas of their academic future.
