My Project

I see preschool-fifth grade students for speech and language services. My students have a variety of needs, but many students are working on articulation.

One goal of this project is to provide my students with items to help find their speech sounds.

Tongue depressors, toothpicks, swabs, coffee stirrers, and the spray bottle can be used in ways to show students how a sound is made (for instance, with airflow) or how to position their jaws and tongues when articulating a sound. Additionally, mini mouths can provide a valuable visual model for students to see how to make the sounds.

I am also requesting two new picture storybooks to help students who are working on story feature concepts learn in a functional way. Finally, I have added a gift card for future articulation and language materials and organizational storage for these items within my classroom.
