My Students

Our students are a terrific group of International Baccalaureate learners who have endured the ups and downs of learning during a pandemic. I admire their resilience but know they are struggling socially and emotionally. Many have lost family members and close friends and are in need of comfort and compassion.

My Project

We know that the materials will help to create a beautiful, peaceful and welcoming space where all students and staff feel welcome, appreciated, and comfortable to practice mindfulness and yoga. The soft, colorful lighting will help soothe anxiety. While the cushions will allow children and staff to feel comfy during their practice. The motivational posters will be constant reminders of how special each person is and how much they matter. Overall, these materials will help transform a worn-out, abandoned space in our building, into a welcoming haven of peacefulness and love.
