Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of yoga mats, cushions and blankets will allow the students who visit the Calming Room to practice the life-changing skills of self-regulation. By using the body and breath, students will be taught how to manage their emotions and stress rather than engaging in coping skills that are not healthy such as vaping, drinking alcohol, cutting or experiencing panic attacks.

By donating to our project, you will not only be be supporting students in feeling confident that they can earn good grades and graduate with a high school diploma, but also give them the life-long skills to manage the stressors of everyday life.

As adults, we all know that school is important, but the inability to mange our emotions sometimes prevents us from sharing our own genius! Help us share our genius with the world!
