Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a classroom, teachers are expected to have small group instruction, where we can meet with students who need extra help or students that find the work to be easy and need to be challenged. These mini lessons are done at a group table in the classroom. Right now, we do not have the adequate amount of seats in the classroom for these lessons. The chairs we currently have in the small group table are uncomfortable, broken and a safety hazard.

I am requesting stackable stools which don't require students hauling their own seats across our room to our small group table.

Having stackable chairs also allow for us to limit the amount of space we are taking up when not in use.

I am also asking for cushions for the library. After the pandemic the library was shut down, students were not able to be in close proximity and the rug we had was put away. As we look forward to a post-pandemic world, I would like to have cushions that can be wiped down for sanitizing.

Students need a place to sit and learn and I am looking forward to providing that for them with your help.
