This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goals of this project are to teach financial literacy, life skills and responsibility/accountability. Students earn scholar dollars to purchase items at our student run store. Money is earned based on scholar grades and having a store stocked with snacks, pens and headphones maintains the economy. Students apply for jobs within the classroom and function within the economy as we do in adult life. Students are very bought in already but I am struggling to fund the store which undermines my ability to leverage the system and incentivize children to be financially lit. Thanks!
