My Project

I teach an amazing class of diverse students who love to learn and are always excited to try new educational experiences. We are part of a Title I Early Education School, that includes Pre-K through grade 2. My Pre-K class is made up of English Language Learners, some special education students, many different cultures, and lots of wonderful personalities.

We learn best by using our imagination and our hands.

We like to do hands-on work to encourage discussions, discovery, vocabulary, and keep us engaged. Working with partners and groups, we learn to problem solve and be part of a team. We create a learning environment that is interesting and allows us to build on each other's strengths.

Financial literacy is a skill that is never too early to learn. Financial literacy starts with early math concepts such as counting, identifying numbers, comparing numerals and adding. We are learning these important math skills in our PreK. We are asking you to donate fun math counters that also improve fine motor coordination. We will be using measurement games so students can count and compare numbers. The Early Learning Math set will counting and number identifying lots of fun! The play-doh number mats will help our number recognition be hands-on. The strong math skills we learn in PreK will help strengthen our Financial Literacy.
