My Students
Help me make learning fun! My class loves to learn when art is integrated in our lessons. My 26 diverse students will have access to the tools they need to make learning accessible. In our ICT classroom, we have a wide range of abled students. Each of our students come from diverse learning backgrounds with varying strengths and needs. At our Title l school, each of our students is held to high standards and we want to make self-determination and independence attainable by supporting each child in the individual way they need.
My Project
These materials will be used to support emerging 4th grade mathematicians as they explore what it means to apply math to real life. Many of my students do not have opportunities to play or explore money in their home lives, this kit will allow them to navigate real life situations in the classroom. The money will also supporting their understanding of decimals, and allow for a smooth transition into an upcoming more complex unit on decimals. My students feel most empowered when they can apply what they learn to the real world- I hope these materials will be the vehicle to that empowerment!
