Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a continuation school setting, many of our students feel disconnected from financial literacy lessons and real-life application. Our students will create and present on topics such as budgets, retirement savings plans, the basis, use, and impact of credit; and they are in need of materials to provide a little more motivation to feel connected and engaged to the learning and build their confidence as they present.

The cardstock and mats will provide materials for students to show their creativity and imagination in exemplifying their learning of financial literacy.

The cases will ensure materials are kept in a neat and orderly space for future use.

Our school is more than 90% Latino/a/x and more than 90% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

To help build connection at our school, we hope to provide engaging and creative outlets to complete projects. We also want to build student confidence by providing materials to plan and execute projects to exemplify their learning and try to make learning fun and engaging.
