This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Your donation will help expand our classroom library by giving books that students are interested in at the moment. Each year I find that students come in with a list of "must reads". Sometimes the lists include specific titles and other times the books are on a particular subject.

This year the books everyone is looking for are the Baby Sitters Club series and informational books about cats and dogs.

When students read books that they have chosen because they interest them, they grow as readers much faster than reading from a traditional curriculum textbook. This project will bring the books my students are craving into their book baggies so they can take off reading!
