This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." - Harriet Tubman
I am a Prekindergarten teacher at an elementary school in Tennessee.
Most of the children attending this school come from low-income families, so it's important to me to provide my students with quality hands-on materials.
In my class, there are 20 four and five-year-old children who are eager to learn and thrive in an environment that is conducive to learning. At this age, students are energetic, excited to experience school for the first time, and absorb any information you are willing to teach them.
My Project
My scholars enjoy listening to books during story time. I want to reinforce the love of reading by providing my students with books they can take home and read with their family members. Some of the books titles include Today is Halloween, Jingle Bells, and Hanukkah. Additional benefits of reading include enhancing their language, comprehension, and fluency skills. They will also be exposed to various holidays people celebrate around the world including Hanukkah, Christmas, and Halloween.
With help from donors like you, this proposal will make a difference in the lives of my current students.
Thanks for taking the time to read my proposal; my students and I appreciate it.
