Each year I'm blessed with a class filled with great students that are eager to learn and be successful. They are so excited to be a third grader. Third graders are amazing and they learn so much!
My students always try their best and have a strong desire to succeed.
They are hard workers and deserve the best opportunity to accomplish their end-of-year goals. COVID-19 has created some new learning gaps that require extra support. It is normal for a class to have a wide range of learning levels. However, COVID-19 has made these ranges even wider.
Each year I strive to learn about my students' unique personalities and their strengths and weaknesses. Every student learns differently. I feel that it's important to meet as many learning styles as I can. Learning opportunities should be differentiated to help each student reach success at their personal academic level.
I also feel that it is important to give my students a variety of learning experiences and opportunities. This helps create excitement for my students, and ongoing motivation to reach their personal goals.
My Project
IXL allows teachers to monitor, review, assign, and assess Language Arts concepts with students in their classroom. By using the IXL Language Arts Program, my students will receive an individualized, differentiated curriculum that will allow each student to reach their full potential.
Using this program in addition to classroom instruction, small group interventions, and one-on-one lessons will help fill in the many educational gaps students are dealing with from the fallout of COVID-19.

Giving children multiple opportunities to master learning skills is so needed at this time in education. COVID-19 has impacted all of my students negatively when it comes to their academic abilities. Using this software will truly give all of my students a chance to improve their language weaknesses.
