Fighting Germs and Staying Healthy

My Project

I am requesting items to help me teach my elementary students about germs and help them learn how to fight germs in several different ways. I am requesting several books for our book studies over germs, and I am requesting sanitizing products to keep our room clean and keep our friends safe from getting sick.

My students are amazing little humans: resilient and tough.

But even the toughest kid can get taken down by a germ, and some of them don't really understand the basics of keeping themselves safe. We are learning to cover our coughs and sneezes and to wash our hands frequently.

My specific goal of this project is to teach students what germs are and how they can stay well, especially during flu season. My students come from mostly low-income families.
