This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Back to school is among us once again. Working at a Title I school, I want to start the year strong with all the supplies my students need to succeed. As fifth graders, they are constantly found knee-deep in learning, and the last thing I want is for my students to feel like they don't have the necessary supplies to thrive.

The supplies I'm requesting assist both myself and my students to take part in the learning process.

Much like every classroom, we need basic materials to keep us moving. Having a fully stocked classroom that contains things such as paper, pencils, dry-erase markers, and glue is crucial. I also like to motivate students through treasure box incentives or using labels to create an "I passed my test" sticker they can wear with pride! Bulletin boards, sheet protectors, thermal sheets for laminating, and a rolling office chair are necessary to continue hosting highly efficient small-group sessions with my students. Help me provide for my students and fill up our classroom with everything we will possibly need to excel in this upcoming year. Always remember that fifth grade ROCKS!
